SCX Logo

SCX.ai (SouthernCrossAI) is an Australian sovereign AI infrastructure provider delivering full‑stack AI capability entirely within Australia. The platform enables Australian enterprises and government agencies to operate advanced AI workloads onshore while maintaining data sovereignty, security, and regulatory compliance.

SCX.ai ensures that data, models, and inferencing workloads remain within Australian borders. This supports compliance with Australian data residency, privacy, and security requirements.

In early 2026, SCX.ai activated Australia’s first live sovereign AI inferencing node at Equinix’s SY5 data centre in Sydney. The deployment uses ASIC‑based architecture rather than traditional GPU systems, delivering materially higher energy efficiency and operating without water cooling.

The architecture delivers a lower operational energy footprint per AI workload compared to conventional GPU‑based infrastructure and reduces reliance on water‑intensive cooling systems.

SCX.ai operates a distributed national network of AI inferencing nodes supporting open‑source and commercial foundation models, including models from OpenAI, Meta, and Google, as well as customer‑owned and fine‑tuned models hosted under full Australian IP control.

SCX.ai is also developing Project MAGPiE, an Australian‑focused large language model designed to reflect local context, terminology, and cultural usage.

With a planned rollout across all Australian states through 2026, SCX.ai is building sovereign AI infrastructure to support national security objectives, sustainability goals, and enterprise‑scale AI adoption within Australia.
