Source Transitions

Source Transitions is an AI futures design authority led by Dr. Stéphanie Camaréna, combining rigorous research methodology with over 20 years of practical implementation experience. We help organisations design AI futures that work for everyone through our signature Bottom-Up Engagement methodology. Unlike traditional top-down AI implementation, our participatory approach ensures broad stakeholder acceptance by involving everyone affected by AI decisions in the design process. This creates competitive advantage through responsible innovation while
anticipating regulatory evolution.

Dr. Camaréna brings global authority through her roles as UN AI for Good Summit facilitator, IEEE SSIT Australian Chapter Chair, UNITAR faculty, and OECD expert mentor.  Her PhD research in AI system design, combined with proven track record implementing technology across government, enterprise, and startup environments, helps organisations to lead in AI innovation.

Our services include AI Futures design partnerships, bottom-up engagement implementation, and EU regulatory futureproofing. We work with mid-market to enterprise organisations across technology, manufacturing, government, education, healthcare, and sustainability-focused sectors.

Source Transitions allows organisations to design AI systems that serve human needs while meeting regulatory needs and building long-term competitive advantage. We work with businesses through our bottom-up engagement methodology to design AI systems that serve human needs while building competitive advantage.

Our Process:
We engage all stakeholders affected by AI decisions in participatory design workshops, ensuring solutions address real needs rather than imposing technology. Through collaborative futures visioning sessions, leadership teams align technological capabilities with organisational values.

Strategic Implementation:
We design AI systems that meet immediate business needs while anticipating regulatory evolution, particularly EU AI Act requirements. This creates sustainable competitive advantage through future-ready compliance.

Capability Transfer:
Unlike traditional consulting, we transfer our methodology to internal teams, building organisational capability for ongoing innovation.

Outcomes:
This human-centred approach results in AI systems with broad stakeholder acceptance, reduced implementation risks, and strategic positioning for regulatory changes. Businesses gain immediate operational benefits plus long-term innovation leadership through responsible AI practices that differentiate them from competitors.

Our clients achieve both compliance and competitive advantage by designing AI futures rather than simply adopting AI tools.
