RAIL Initiative is Australia’s leading AI literacy and certification provider. We help build workforce capability across business, education and government through the Responsible Use of AI Licence.

This accessible training program supports responsible AI adoption in the workplace. It focuses on shared understanding, ethical use and practical skills that teams can apply with confidence.

The program covers core modules that build foundational skills in:

• prompt engineering
• ethical decision-making
• data security
• responsible use of AI.

Each module highlights what to do, avoid and consider when using AI tools. Topics include algorithm bias, privacy and cultural awareness.

Elective modules offer training in:

• major platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot
• AI use in different roles and industries including public sector, education, sales and marketing.

RAIL Certification includes 4 core and 2 elective modules. It’s delivered through either 6 hours of online video learning or full-day team workshops. Online content is broken into short, engaging videos with supporting text and assessments.

Built for compliance and scale - RAIL is the only public sector AI certification mapped to Australia’s federal policy for responsible AI use in government. It also aligns with global frameworks including DigiComp2.2 and SFIA.

RAIL is an accredited provider with Future Skills Organisation (FSO), a Jobs and Skills Council.

Inclusive and future-focused - RAIL runs Australia’s largest AI training scholarship program, offering 5,000 scholarships to individuals and mission-driven organisations. This supports inclusive access and helps close digital gaps that AI risks widening.
