QUT AI & ML Society

QUT AI & ML Society is a student-led community at Queensland University of Technology focused on making artificial intelligence and machine learning accessible to students from all backgrounds and levels of experience. The society provides opportunities for members to develop practical skills, explore emerging technologies and connect with others interested in the future of AI.

Through workshops, hackathons, collaborative projects and guest speaker events, members gain hands-on experience with machine learning, generative AI, data analysis and related technologies. The society brings together students from a range of disciplines, including computing, engineering, business and other fields, creating opportunities for interdisciplinary learning and collaboration.

QUT AI & ML Society aims to bridge the gap between academic study and industry practice by connecting students with professionals, alumni and organisations working in the AI sector. Regular networking and community events help members build industry connections, discover mentoring opportunities and explore potential career pathways.

The society also encourages discussion of the ethical, social and practical impacts of AI, supporting students to develop both technical capability and a broader understanding of the role AI plays in society.
