Helm is an AI consultancy based in Newcastle, NSW, working with mid-size businesses across the Hunter region, mainly in construction, project management, engineering and real estate.

Helm works embedded within client teams to identify and improve time-consuming workflows, such as tender responses, bid preparation, meeting documentation, capability statements, and RFP and RFQ responses. The organisation develops secure internal AI tools using each business’s own templates, data and systems.

Helm’s services include AI strategy, custom tool development, team training and adoption support, AI governance, AI policy development, and ISO 42001 readiness. The organisation uses a one-workflow-at-a-time approach, starting with a single business process before expanding to additional tools and capabilities.

Once a tool is implemented, Helm trains teams to use it confidently and provides an ongoing AI manager retainer to help organisations maintain and expand their AI capability as business needs change. Human review, judgement and sign-off remain central to every workflow, with people retaining responsibility for decisions.
