Attestor

Attestor builds sovereign AI systems for Australian accounting and professional services firms. Each system operates on hardware located within the firm's own premises, ensuring client data remains under the firm's control. The organisation was founded by a chartered accountant who led a 350-person firm and a systems architect with experience designing business infrastructure.
The organisation develops AI systems designed to support the regulatory and compliance requirements of Australian accounting firms, including obligations relating to the Tax Practitioners Board, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing obligations, privacy requirements and Australian jurisdictional considerations. Its systems are designed to be on-premise and auditable.
Attestor delivers services through three stages: Scout, Create and Operate. Scout is a diagnostic process that reviews how a firm operates through staff interviews, documentation reviews and workflow observations to identify and assess automation opportunities. Create involves installing and configuring AI systems based on the findings of the diagnostic process and a firm's operational requirements. Operate provides ongoing monitoring, updates and adjustments as business needs and regulatory requirements change.
Firms may engage with a single stage or continue through the full process. The organisation's services are designed to help accounting and professional services firms identify automation opportunities, implement AI systems aligned to their workflows, and maintain those systems over time.
